Our Story

Second Chance is a faith community in the Open Church Collective. Second Chance was birthed out of our vision to create a safe, inclusive worship gathering for our community. For us who are in recovery, still battling addiction, returning from prison. Those of us who have not felt comfortable or welcome in traditional church settings.

We wanted a place for us. A place where we can be ourselves and worship God and experience God’s love in community.

Everyone is in need of a Second Chance (and third, and fourth….), and no one is ever beyond God’s grace.

We are a community of messy Jesus followers ready to worship, serve, and make the kingdom of God tangible in our city. Our mission is to be the church and create church with the most vulnerable in our city to see the spiritual and social transformation of our communities.
